Hi guys, it is a cold end of May here in Sweden. Still, there is a hint of summer and the summer vacations around the corner.
I have a serious nasty cold – soar throat and feeling like a rainy day indeed. I will try some pills called Espiritox – an Echinacea based mumbo jumbo thingy – it is said to act as a relief for colds. Not sure if it works or if I just made someone a step closer to being a multi-billionaire. Anyway, this cold is frustrating and I hate having a cold that locks down the entire head – makes it feel like in vacuum or something.
On top of that – we had a “glorious” trip to IKEA. No trip to IKEA could really be described as glorious I guess, but at least we bought the stuff we wanted to have this time. New desks for our study and some legs and stuff. Then had to mount it all on the roof racks, in pouring rain. When we got back home, the cardboard was turned into some sort of gruel. Nice.
Anyway, despite the cold – the things are now on place and we also bought to new chairs to sit in and listen and enjoy music. So the study is now also going to be our official music room. Yeay. Been a long way coming – but finally we have shorter desks, stylish chairs and a stereo in the study to make it complete. Well not complete – we still need to find something to house the stereo.
And the third thing, that with a space in it? Well it is my space key on my M11x R1. This machine is a nice little desktop with great graphics for an 11″ – but it is also an Alienware, and since the M11x is up to R3 – the support isn’t stellar and the things keyboard is really awkward. I’m typing on it now and every now and then I stop, curse loudly and have to go back and re-type the space inputs. Really annoying. Would I recommended the M11X to someone? Not right now – there are ASUS machines out there with equally impressive hardware as the Alienware – the only thing that is cool is the M11X’s size – but you pay a hefty price for portable gaming – and it won’t replace a desktop for serious gaming.
If you have questions about the M11x – don’t hesitate to ask.
